Too Busy to Exercise?
*These tips are focused around exercise. In a later post I’ll talk about food choices.*
1. Pack your workout gear the night before- this could be your gym bag or even your walking shoes for your lunch break. You’re more likely to get in a workout if you see your bag sitting in the backseat during the drive home.
2. Schedule your workouts in advance- one of our biggest downfalls is not making time for ourselves. This includes working out. If you don’t make this a priority, chances are it ends up on the bottom of your to-do list.
3. Keep a workout log- this is a great way to monitor progress and keep yourself accountable. You can write down what workout you did each day in journal to see how much stronger or faster you get. Or you can simply write “cardio” or “arms” in each box on a calendar. This is almost like when you were young and earned gold stars for your accomplishments! By the end of the month you’ll be able to visualize all your hard work and it will feel so good!
4. Invest in a resistance band- this simple purchase will benefit you in many ways. It can help with stretching, strength, and proper lifting form. Plus, it so light and can fit in even the smallest purse.
I will continue to offer more of my tricks in the coming weeks. Please share your success stories or questions!
In health and happiness,
