Toad Suck Daze

One of the largest fundraising events in the state of Arkansas is the annual festival Toad Suck Daze. Yes, it’s actually called Toad Suck Daze.

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been visiting this huge festival, but this year I was invited by the morning news stations and a radio station to volunteer at Toad Suck Daze. On the radio I had the opportunity to talk a little bit about my platform, the International Pageant System, what it is that I do as Miss Teen International. I was also able to encourage people to come to the festival to help raise money, not only for the scholarships, but also for tornado relief here in Arkansas.

To encourage folks to come out, the early morning news stations have a hilarious event that they do. It’s called Toad Racing! And it’s exactly what it sounds like. There’s a green mat where you line up in your own lane and you race toads!

On average, Toad Suck Daze raises close to 35,000 dollars every year! If you’re ever in Arkansas, this is a festival that I recommend checking out! You’ll love it! Just don’t say the F-word. (Frog!) Or the Toad Master will find you!
