An example of one of my ad pages for nationals.
My approach may have been different than what you would expect. Instead of relying on one business or donor to help you with the fee, try asking multiple organizations for their support. I was more successful at getting a “yes” from business owners when asking them to donate a portion towards a large total rather than the entire amount.
Inform them of the benefits of supporting you. Not only are they donating to a wonderful woman, they are helping to support your platform. On top that, you can put their logo on your ad page which will be seen by hundreds of people not only from the U.S. but also other countries! Some businesses who had already made their “donations” for the year were able to still contribute out of their advertising budget.
Get creative but make sure you are organized.
Provide the company with a letter explaining your sponsorship needs and what options they have to help. And remember: every no leads you closer to a yes!
