Maddie Grace Windle
This week a blood drive was held in honor of a little girl named Maddie Grace Windle. Maddie is only eleven years old and is currently fighting her third recurrence of cancer.
Maddie Gracie’s most recent recurrence was diagnosed in September. In January, the week of her 11th birthday, she received a stem cell transplant and is still being treated at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
As soon as I heard about the blood drive I scheduled an appointment along with many other people from the community who came to support this little girl and donated blood.
Accident victims, premature babies, those undergoing chemotherapy, organ transplant recipients and patients with blood disorders are in need of the blood that the Red Cross receives.
Donating blood is one of the easiest and most significant ways I have found I can help someone else and make their life better.
Much love,
