Love Notes
What does our "lifesong" sound like to others?
Does it sing to you?
Is it motivating? Uplifting? Giving hope or bringing love and joy?
Or is it negative? Degrading, and depressing? A song that hurts everyone around us?
Maybe we are neither, maybe we just go to work, do our job, come home, eat, go to bed, and wake up- to do it all over again. So our song goes unheard, affects no one.
Regardless of which one you are, we all have a "lifesong" or a legacy that we are living out.
So what kind of "Lifesong" will you leave behind?
My personal dream to be remembered for my heart. I want my children, and their children to know that I LOVED with every being of my heart. And that my love was not limited to anyone, but for all. My song will be one of love, unconditional, and sacrificial.
My husband's will be one of a man that walked in faith and integrity. Loving, fearing and obeying the Lord. One of a man who was meek and didn't have to "outshine" or "out-muscle" anyone. A song about a man who intimately knew God and hungered to live for Him.
Our family's song will be one of compassion for the needy. Walking with a servant's heart. Mourning for the things that mourn the Lord's heart. And yes, there was persecution- But we learned to rejoice regardless of man's opinion...And found peace in God's approval. So our song is one of victory!
Everyday we have opportunities to sing a song. A song of hope or a song of sorrow.
Our lives will be a symphony of our every joy, and every heartbreak. Yes, every action, and deed we ever experienced will be in our song.
However, you get to choose... Will your "song" be pleasant to all who encounter you? Uplifting them and possibly bringing them hope?
Or will your song be one who is unpleasant to the ears, one who has the power to pierce through a heart and hurt our very soul?
This is important, because we can be so consumed with our own worries, stresses and fears that we don't see those who are hurting all around us. And your song has the power to either pierce someone's heart or pierce the atmosphere, and change people's lives.
You have that power everyday!!
Everyday is a either a destined appointment or a missed opportunity.
Your song has the power to give life to all those who listen..
It doesn't matter what you've done in the past, who you've hurt, or what you've said. All that can change now, all you have to do is switch the station. Tune into the voice of Truth!
It's that easy!
Actually, my favorite songs are those of redemption. Because it reveals the power of God's infinite love and forgiveness.
You see what matters is what you do now!
Will you let your song end like this, or will it be one of victory and forgiveness?
His mercies are new every morning, and when you ask Him to forgive you.. He does! End. Of. Story.
Then your song can truly begin!
I'm your Mrs International, reminding you -To choose love,
Priscilla
