National Wear Red Day

It’s a New Year and I have a birthday coming up very soon. As I prepare to celebrate my 29th birthday for the 7th or 8th time (haha), I am thrilled to be spending my birthday in New York City for National Wear Red Day! I will fly to New York City on my birthday, February 3rd and prepare to serve as emcee for National Wear Red Day on the 4th. What an amazing birthday gift! Thank you International Pageants & AHA Go Red for Women!

Listen to these statistics…Heart disease remains the No. 1 killer of women age 20 and over, killing approximately one woman every minute! More women die of cardiovascular disease than the next four causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer. In fact, while 1 in 30 American women die of breast cancer, about 1 in 3 dies of cardiovascular disease. Yet, only 1 in 5 women believe that heart disease is her greatest health threat.

It’s time to Make it Your Mission! Tell 5 women you love, then lead by example. Join me by using your voice and your personal style as we prepare for National Wear Red Day, February 4th. Make it a goal for 2011 to get your life on track when it comes to heart health. To help me celebrate my birthday, treat yourself to something amazing & RED, and then wear it proudly on February 4th. Share this with 5 women who will share with 5 more, and so on. Let’s make 2011 the best yet!

Please stay tuned as I will continue to share more about National Wear Red Day.

Until next post remain blessed,

Shannon
