Run for the Roses Benefit for Hospice

I had a delightful time on Saturday night volunteering with Hospice.  Hundreds of guests gathered at the Statesville Country Club to celebrate their year-long efforts, raising funds for Hospice.  The guests also has a chance to bid on magnificent silent auction items including dance packages donated by Planet Ballroom and a Rolex watch donated by Fink’s Jewelers.

A big ‘thank you’ to Margaret Johnson for inviting me to be part of this grand event.  Margaret created this benefit three years ago.  The event continues to grow each year, helping raising thousands of dollars to help Hospice provide care for those in need.   

And, thank you to the Hospice staff for your hospitality.  It’s always said that when you love what you do, you don’t ever “work” a day in your life.  Those who work with Hospice are truly a gift from God and you can tell they love helping others.  Thank you for all you do to help others.
