Welcoming a former Miss to the World of Mrs.!

The former Miss Minnesota International 2009, Maddy Thoele is now a Mrs.! On Saturday evening, the Sixth of April in the year Two Thousand and Thirteen, Maddy and Adam Spiker were married in the fabulous Aria at the Jeune Lune in downtown Minneapolis. This venue is a blend of old world textures with brick and beams, with a touch of contemporary white walls and artwork, topped off with the most beautiful chandeliers hanging in a cluster over the bride and groom as they exchanged vows.

International Sisters “Rock!”

The wedding kicked-off with an hors d’oeuvre reception, which gracefully lead to a lovely ceremony with black, white, and gray colors walking down the aisle, followed by a wonderful dinner and dance celebration. The pasta bar was my favorite and the cake was a blend of chocolate and vanilla cupcakes!

From my perspective there were really two, not just one, magical components to this blessed event; one is the witnessing of two individuals joining together as one in their marriage, and two is the incredible connection of sisterhood that exists within the International Pageant family. We share quite a remarkable and impressive bond, which may be difficult for some to understand. On this special occasion, Aria was filled with former Teen, Miss, and Mrs. titleholders who are always willing to show up and support one another in times of both joy and sorrow.

As a wife, as a former Mrs. Minnesota International, and as the reigning Mrs. International, I want to welcome Maddy to the world of Mrs. and to remind her there may just be another sash and crown in her future!

With love and God’s blessings to Maddy and Adam for a life filled with happiness,

Sarah Bazey
Mrs. International 2012
