Girls Club

As each of the little girls waited patiently in line, one smile after another, and hug after hug, I got to help kick off Lincoln Berean’s Girls’ Club with their new theme, “Daughter of the King.” As the girls entered, they glammed up to take a picture with each one that will be on their wall throughout the year.

Their focus of the year is that no matter what, they are already a princess. The exciting part is that over the next year, they have chosen Soles4Souls as their charity of choice! 60 girls will be collecting shoes until next summer, and In addition, during this upcoming holiday season they will be making gift boxes to take with me to Haiti for each of the orphanages we will visit when we travel in January.

I shared with the group of young girls about Soles4Souls, their mission to wear our poverty, and the up and coming Barefoot4Them campaign on October 10, 2014. My goal on 9-10-14, one month away from Souls4Soles biggest awareness campaign to help wear out poverty, was to get 30 people to sign up for, and each of the girls committed to going barefoot on 10-10-14!!!!! Thanks to these young ladies passion to help others, we far exceed the number of people to sign up for that day. A BIG thank you to all of you that are participating as well! The girls helps me make a message to everyone out their, this is a great group of future leaders.
