Carolina Panthers Paw Print

We all have ways in our lives that we can leave our legacy and footprints. As an individual it is an easier decision, but when an organization makes that decision it is a team commitment.

Recently Blair and I were able to visit the Carolina Panthers NFL Team and thanks to their generous shoe donation to Soles4Souls, they will leave their “Paw Prints” with over 250 people! We appreciate them helping to wear out poverty and give shoes, give love. A big thank you Dottie from the Dairy Council who pairs with Blair’s platform Fuel up to play 60 for donating a signed hat for Soles4Souls Celebrity auction.

There were other “Paw Prints” that were very noticeable as we toured the Bank of America Stadium. Their owner Jerry Richardson has 5 principles that are seen throughout the facility as the core values of the program. From when you walk in the front door welcomed by their friendly staff, to the player’s area and even the fine details that surround the stadium, the Panthers are a family.

The 5 principles in this picture are even handwritten by the owner and have been translated in to different graphics through their facilities.

My absolute favorite part of visiting the Panthers was a small, yet significant sign pictured below. To hear the story of this sign, watch the tour video below.

This is just one of the many ways the Panthers support their community around them. To see a full list of the charitable endeavors, visit http://www.panthers.com/community/index.html

The only NFL team known for “Two States, One Team” with South Carolina’s Governor even declaring a North Carolina Panthers Day in 2012 is something everyone should experience if you are out east in the fall!

Five Facts to know about the Panthers:

1. On October 26, 1993, Richardson became the first former NFL player since George Halas to become an owner when the Carolina Panthers were unanimously awarded the NFL's 29th franchise. (and co-founder of the Hardee’s chain of restraints).

2, The Panthers first competed in the 1995 NFL season; they were one of two expansion teams to begin playing that year, with the other being the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Panthers are one of the few teams in the NFL to own the stadium they play in

3. The stadium seats over 73,000 fans!

4. Two bronze panther statues flank each of the stadium's three main entrances; they are the largest sculptures ever commissioned in the United States

5. There is over 4,000 linear feet of video board that wraps the bowl (wow!!)
