While NY Fashion Week was an incredible experience, I was thrilled to see that Buffalo actually has its own Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! The events are thoughtfully planned and include a boutique showing at an area mansion, the beauty expo of an assortment of local vendors, and of course the grand finale fashion show!
I was asked to judge the hair show portion of the events along with some esteemed industry professionals. Models walked the runway to compete on behalf of their stylists for best cut, color, and texture respectively. The creativity was exceptional. We saw everything from electric blue and raspberry colored coifs to intricately braided up-dos. The work done by the hands of these stylists was spectacular and it was incredibly difficult to decide! As Ms. Mary says, “We are all blessed with different talents”!
