Have Hope

I looked in to my back yard recently peeking out our bedroom window to get a glimpse of what the weather looked like outside and to my surprise one of the tree’s in our back yard was flourishing, abound with apples and full of life.

What made it such a surprise? We have actually had this tree on our list to cut down. The last few years it has had little to no fruit, its branch’s looked sick, and even the leaves struggled to grow with only a few patches. It was no were near what you see in the picture above. After going through a few seasons with it appearing barren and like there was no hope to bring it back, here is it, bearing fruit.

Recently I have had quite a few messages from people or seen posts from others of a struggle in their life. A broken marriage or friendship, facing life threatening illness’s themselves or with a loved one. Many hardships come our way, but the simple apple tree in our backyard reminded me ever so clearly how important it is to always have hope because what once might seem hopeless when we least expect it will be full of life again. Sometimes our trials will last a few days, a few years, or even a life time, but I do know that if we don’t give up, at some point in time, those trials will always bear fruit. It is the moment you heart emerges from darkness and your soul comes back to life, a beautiful moment. The trial seems so far in the distance.

Someone once told me that when you look at a tree’s rings and see where it is has a knot or the lines are close together, that is when it struggled to grow. BUT…..after that knot, the tree rings get larger because the tree flourish’s and grow their most after that time.

Sometimes your journey may not be easy as an International Titleholder, but stick with it and take the hardships as an opportunity to grow and become a titleholder you never even thought possible. Grow On!
