Go Red Day

As you should know by now, February 4th was National Go Red Day! I got to show my support for the American Heart Association by wearing RED to work (of course) and attending the Crystal Couture event in Washington, DC. I was there with some other International ladies – Mrs. Northeast International 2011, Miss & Miss Teen DC International 2010, & Miss Teen China International 2011.

The American Heart Association was holding a casting call that evening for the opportunity to be a spokesperson for the organization. It was great to watch people audition & share their personal stories about heart disease. I can’t wait to see who they pick!

The entire event was just amazing! There was a runway where different fashion shows were happening all night long. There were a bunch of businesses (mostly shopping!) that were set up to browse. The event was hosted by a local radio personality (wearing RED!), & she asked Mrs. Northeast International to come on the runway to share her story & encourage others to GO RED.

My Boyfriend - Sebastien even wore his Red!

Awesome! It was a lot of fun spreading the word about the American Heart Association & educating people about being Heart Healthy! Also check this media mention out!
