Social Media & Titleholders

I think we can all agree that social media has an influence on today's society. However, it is up to us on whether we make a positive or negative impact with each of our small corners of the worldwide web. As pageant title holders or contestants you may have more influence than you realize. Here are a few reasons why social media is important for pageant girls.

First of all is promotion, whether it is yourself or your platform. You can use social media to give judges or people in general a great first impression. Consider it an addition to your paperwork, if they find your Facebook Page or google search your name, what will they learn about you? I often get asked "what is appropriate to post as a titleholder? " My response is usually if you would want your grandma to see it or your grandma would approve then it's should be okay.

So ladies, just remember keep it appropriate and use social media to spread positivity. The possibilities are endless, imagine how many more people can learn about your cause just by taking a few minutes to post a picture or write a paragraph. Some of you may be surprised by the results!

After my Dancing Through the Pain Photo Challenge was posted the U.S. Pain Foundation and I had reached over 90,000 people in just a couple weeks!
