Fore CASA Lake County

The other week kicked off with one of CASA Lake County’s annual golf tournaments held by CDW. Bright and early, we volunteers were lined up to check-in 150 players at Kemper Lake County Club. And despite the forecasters, we had a gorgeous day for golf!

After getting all the ladies and gentlemen settled in carts, I was whisked off to the 17th hole for a hole-in-one challenge. There were a host of prizes for anyone able to score a hole-in-one, including a new truck! Of course it meant making it over this water and onto the green. Several were able to get on the “dance floor,” but most lost balls to the water.

At the end of the day, there were a couple of raffles and a silent auction. And although none got that hole in one, it was a worth the effort for the children we hello through CASA.
