Hard Work Wins

Working with my clients, I see a variety of people. Some are naturally skilled and others have to work harder. Some small business or executives have the “it factor” while others cultivate it through practice and efforts. I firmly believe that anyone can find success in the workforce or in pageantry.

Many people are born with natural talent and are charismatic because of their God-given personality and nurturing from parents. From a very young age, they just have “it”. Small business may have something that is a brilliant idea and happens to go viral. It’s a blessing and part of their God given story.

What about the young women, entrepreneurs, and small businesses that don’t have natural talent? I know that sounds tough, but it’s a reality for many people. How do they reach the top if their natural talent is not as strong as others? They work.

Everyone wants success, but not everyone is willing to work for it. Truth is… dreams don’t work unless you do. I’ve seen many businesses and young women go from being at the bottom to the top by simply working hard! That means extra hours working on marketing plans, extra hours in the gym, challenging themselves to become more, seeking out council, and simply working.

No one is going to hand you success in any facet of your life. Natural talent is amazing, but hard work beats out natural talent. If you are relying simply on what you were born with… someone who is willing to do the work you are not will eventually climb to the top of the leaderboard. There is always hope and the opportunity for growth - you just have to be willing to do it.

All of this to say, as internationals draws near… put in the hard work. Do the extra hours, ask the hard questions, eat the egg whites, and choose to win.
